early works collection

This collection is a few of Tom's earlier works when he was painting and running Mill Street Studios. The pieces were all inspired by the beauty in simple details of life in Bristol, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area. Art is often not about painting something new and amazing but painting the ordinary in a new and interesting light. Tom exquisitely captures the enchanting seasonal weather in his painting the Delaware Canal. This stark winter scene has divine bare reaching trees on the water bank and the canal placidly reflecting the scene. Another painting which displays simple beauty is the Burlington Boat painting. It's quite a thoughtful piece as it plays on the juxtaposition of an old abandoned finishing boat next to the new flourishing late Spring leaves of the nearby tree.
